The Barbour mens Twill Chino Shorts for a size 38" waist, I would recommend sizes XL (36-38") or XXL (38-40"). The leg length for the XL is: inside leg crutch to hem 9" / total length waist to hem 20". And the XXL: inside leg crutch to hem 9" / total length waist to hem 19 ¼ ".
