Yes, you can use any charcoal, but while you can use any charcoal with a LotusGrill BBQ, it is unlikely to be the smoke-free experience they are famous for. LotusGrill recommend you use their charcoal, as it’s specifically designed for their barbecues. The completely natural beech wood charcoal burns much hotter, slowly, and evenly, which is what helps to make it smoke-free, as well as the high carbon content allowing for quick ignition to get to eating much quicker!
