It is entirely your preference on whether you put your Le Creuset mugs go in the dishwasher or hand wash them. When cleaning your Le Creuset mug, handwashing is recommended because using acidic dishwasher detergent can eventually erode the enamel over time but non using acidic dishwasher detergent is fine and it can be placed in the dishwasher. When handwashing, you should avoid using abrasive cleaning pads. Any stains will come to the surface after soaking and can easily be wiped clean.
