This Circulon stainless steel stirfry wok features a non-stick base coating that is free from lead, cadmium and is PFOA free. The non-stick base is made from PTFE otherwise known as polytetrafluoroethylene which doesn't contain PFOA. PTFE is a tough, non-flammable, non-stick material sued to create the coating on Circulon pans. Perfluorooctanoic acid or PFOA is a manufactured perfluorochemical and is generally used in industrial items and it is NOT found in Circulon cookware.
