Tilley Hats are designed to be worn low on your head and slightly loose, they should not be so tight, so it is uncomfortable. You should be able to fit two fingers flat between your forehead and the hat. In higher winds you can use the cord under your chin or tighten the back cord to keep your hat on your head.
